Kayla Ann Crivelli, a graduate of Turlock High School plans to attend CSU Stanislaus in August 2007.  Her main academic interest is teaching because she loves children and she would love to be part of their lives as a teacher. Her teaching interest is primarily aimed towards special education of severely handicapped children.  Kayla is a member of UPEC Council #52 ( Modesto ). Natalie Forsythe, a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Stockton plans to attend Sonoma State University in the fall of 2007.  Although she has not decided on her Major, she hopes to focus her career in Sports Medicine.  Very involved in special projects she has worked with S.A.D.D. (Students against Drunk Driving) since 2003.  She is a member of UPEC Council #24 ( Stockton ).

Adriane Machado, a graduate from Los Banos High School will be attending the University of California Santa Barbara .  Her major academic interests are Portuguese and Biology and she plans to be a teacher. She is a member of Interact since 2003 and completed 6 semesters at the Portuguese Honor Society.  She is a member of UPEC Council #74 (Los Banos)

Victoria Bertao, a graduate of Dos Palos High School plans to attend the CSU in Monterey Bay and pursue a career in teaching. Although she is a third generation American of Portuguese descent, she values her Portuguese ancestry and culture and, with her family, maintains many old country traditions. She is a member of UPEC Council #169 (Dos Palos).
John Paul Soares, graduated from Central Catholic High School in Modesto and plans to attend University of Southern California (USC) this fall.  His love for Geography is uncanny and he believes that love and knowledge will help him succeed as an international Businessman.   One of his dreams is to study abroad, hopefully, at the University of Coimbra .  He is a member of UPEC Council #74 (Los Banos). Vanessa Avila is an inspiration to all who know her. Her faith and positive attitude allows her to look forward to the future without self-pity or negativism. She graduated from Buhach Colony High School and she wants to become a Cosmetologist in order to save money to pay for further education and become a Special Education teacher. She is a member of UPEC Council #29 (Merced) and she is the Vice-President of UPEC State Youth Council.

Andrew David Miguel lives in Highlands Ranch in Colorado where he graduated from the Thunder Ridge High School . He will be attending the University of Colorado , Boulder and he plans a career in Financial Management. He completed 4 semesters at the National Honor Society and is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America since 2005.  He is a member of UPEC Council #1 ( San Leandro ).

Sarah Elizabeth Machado lives in Frederick, Oklahoma where she graduated from the Frederick High School. She will attend Oklahoma State University majoring in Education and she plans to become a teacher. Her love for teaching was passed down because her mother, her grandmother, and grandfather were teachers and she has seen the joy they have experienced through teaching. In spite of poor pay, she wants to experience the same joy. She is a member of UPEC Council #29 (Merced).
Molly Wakeman is the recipient of the Joseph Fagundes Scholarship.  She graduated from Arcata High School and she plans to attend Humboldt State University and obtain a degree in Pharmacology.  She is involved with World Shelters since 2005.  World shelters builds “Clip kits” to provide a dome shelter to the victims of natural disasters.  She is also a member of the Toastmasters International Leadership program since 2004.
